As partners in progress, Doctors of BC works as an autonomous, provincial division of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) - a voluntary organization that serves as the national voice of standardized medicine. Together, we work to advocate on behalf of our members to help move the medical community forward for all Canadians.

As a democratic association, we look to our annually elected Board of Directors and our President, to help guide our efforts in making a meaningful difference. We are governed by the Society Act of BC and our Constitution and Bylaws.

In our day-to-day operations, Doctors of BC senior staff are responsible for helping our Board of Directors achieve the organization's strategic vision of being better together.

With over 60 member-run committees advocating on behalf of physicians and BC citizens alike, we deal with a diverse range of issues, including policy development, physician health and well-being, continuing medical education (CME), financial management of the Association, and the promotion of health in general.
