Charting our course: Doctors of BC’s new Strategic Plan

January 29, 2024

Engaging with members is vital to ensuring the work we do meets your needs and allows us to best represent you and advocate for you. Over the last year, we sought input from physicians throughout the province on our organizational direction, and your feedback was instrumental in helping develop our new strategic plan (2024-2029).

This plan is the result of an extensive and collaborative planning process and will guide the association as we work to fulfill our new mission:

Working together, we support BC's doctors to be leaders in delivering and improving patient care.

What does the new plan mean for BC physicians?

  • It places physicians as leaders in the health care system, proactively seeking improvements, finding solutions, and fostering innovation to benefit patients and physicians alike.

  • It outlines our continued commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, and advancement of cultural safety in health care.

  • It provides Doctors of BC staff with key principles that will be embedded in the work we do on behalf of BC’s doctors, to ensure your priorities are front and center.
