Information on Class Action Lawsuit

The BC Supreme Court has approved the Settlement Agreement for a class action lawsuit (Halvorson vs MSC) impacting fee-for-service physicians who practiced in BC between July 23, 1992 and April 30, 1996.

The suit claimed that the MSC refused to provide medical coverage for patients whose medical insurance premiums had not been paid. If you are eligible for this award, you can find the claim form here. Physicians must submit a claim form on or before 5:00 pm Eastern Time, January 13, 2017.
