Health Gateway portal lets specialists and family doctors share information with patients

As part of the move to enable patients to be more involved in their ongoing care, the Health Gateway provincial patient portal now allows specialists and family doctors in Vancouver Coastal, Providence Health, and the Provincial Health Services Authority who use CST Cerner to share information and clinical documents with patients – who in turn can bring these documents to any BC health care provider for further discussion.

This change was informed by input from a physician clinical advisory group and work is underway to expand this feature provincially.

To provide feedback, register for a 1-hour webinar on Wednesday, April 19 from 7:00am-8:00am facilitated by the Doctors Technology Office (DTO). Space is limited to allow for a more in-depth conversation, so registration will be on a first come, first served basis.
