Dr Ross is a family physician in Coquitlam and New Westminster, who also provides obstetric care and cardiovascular surgical assists. She served as president of Doctors of BC from June 2019 until January 2021, during the onset and height of the COVID-19 pandemic – a time in which she saw a fundamental change in the way health care is delivered. She believes that doctors now have an unprecedented opportunity to help reform the system — including addressing the multiple root causes of the primary care crisis and backlog of acute care.
