The health and wellbeing of physicians and health care providers are paramount during these extremely challenging times. With this in mind, the Physician Health Program (PHP) wants to ensure BC physicians are aware of their services, and that additional resources are in place to provide counselling support for everyone who needs it, including family members. Please see below for some important updates.
Counsellors are available by phone or videoconferencing for physicians and physician trainees feeling overwhelmed and needing support with issues affecting their health and well-being during these stressful times. This could include physical or mental health, addictions, relationship issues, workplace stress and burnout. We’re here to help you with whatever challenges you’re facing.
There are a number of ways to get in touch. Unfortunately, technical glitches (now resolved) may have prevented some of you reaching us this past weekend or after hours. Please try again this week during business hours:
Please note that we are currently suspending our family doctor attachment service due to the overwhelming challenges faced by family doctors’ offices during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently evaluating other services we could provide.
If you have ideas about how we could serve you and your colleagues better, or how we could support you to support each other, please contact the Steering Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
