New Service Centre launch: Help when you need it

October 31, 2023

As your professional association, Doctors of BC continually seeks to improve the services we provide you. An area that we know needs development is the communication process when you contact us with questions or require support. We know that BC’s doctors lead exceptionally busy lives, and your time is important. To make positive changes, we are streamlining how we respond to all member queries via a new Service Centre.

The Service Centre will provide members with a dedicated support team to respond to your queries, ensuring you get the assistance you need, when you need it. Beginning October 30, any general inquiry questions formerly routed to Reception, along with Affinity Program (Club MD and Telus) inquiries, will be answered by the Service Centre Team. In the coming weeks and months, other Doctors of BC departments will be amalgamated into the Service Centre to provide you with the quickest response possible.

What will change for physicians?

From October 30th, when you telephone Doctors of BC's general phone line and our Affinity program (ClubMD and Telus) teams, you will be greeted by a member of the new Service Centre team. The team member will assist you and ensure that your query gets to the right person.

How will it roll out over time?

The Service Centre will continue to develop, expand, and incorporate more Doctors of BC departments as time goes on. Please know that if you have existing relationships with staff, these will not be affected by the introduction of this initiative. This new dedicated team is here to help protect your time by streamlining the communication process so you can get your answers quickly.
