On Monday, October 27, 2025, eligible members will receive an email inviting them to participate in Doctors of BC’s 2025 election and bylaw referendum. During this vital time, as physicians continue to face growing challenges, physician leadership is more important than ever.
Make your voice count
Voting in Doctors of BC’s election and bylaw referendum is your opportunity to help increase the influence of the physician voice. The election helps ensure strong, diverse representation within our governance bodies, which is essential for effectively advocating for and representing our members, while the referendum helps align our bylaws more closely with our strategic principles.
Cast your vote: Election and bylaw referendum
The email invitation will include a link to vote in both the election and the bylaw referendum. Members are encouraged to review all candidates’ election materials and the proposed bylaw amendments described in the referendum explanatory note, which are available on the Doctors of BC’s Election webpage and on the ballot. The deadline to cast your vote is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
All members are eligible to vote for the President-Elect and in the referendum. Members with a registered address in any district with a vacancy in the Representative Assembly are also eligible to vote for their district representative.
Additionally, current voting members of the Representative Assembly will be invited to elect individuals for positions on the Board and Statutory Committees.
President-Elect online forum
Doctors of BC will host an online forum for the president-elect candidates on Thursday, November 13, from 7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to hear directly from each candidate about how they intend to work with their Board colleagues and represent BC physicians as the association’s official spokesperson. Please register online to attend; questions for the candidates can be submitted through the registration form.
