Log into the website
Check your email for your username and password to access the members-only section of our website. If you have not received your login details, contact benefits@doctorsofbc.ca.
1. Verify your personal information
Make sure that your contact information, business information, and other details are correct on your member profile.
2. Set up your bank accounts
To set up pre-authorized direct debits or direct deposits for Doctors of BC services and benefits, add your banking details.
3. Subscribe to communications
Stay informed about benefits, deadlines, and other relevant information by subscribing to newsletters.

New to Canada from the US?
The BC Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP) is a free online course providing practical education and resources on essential topics such as billing, ethics, Indigenous health and cultural safety to help you with the transition to the BC healthcare system.

Doctors of BC is a diverse community of physicians, residents, and medical students working together to make a positive difference for the profession, our patients, and the health care system in British Columbia. As your professional association, Doctors of BC will be here for you at every career phase from medical student and residency, to practice and retirement.

Negotiated benefits
Take advantage of the negotiated benefits available to you. We negotiate with the provincial government for fee-for-service, sessional income, and service contract physicians in the areas of compensation and benefits.
Provincial and local negotiations
Doctors of BC negotiates the Physician Master Agreement with the BC government, setting the terms and conditions for physician services. We also support physicians with their local alternative payment arrangements, negotiate fair agreements, and help resolve contract conflicts.
Regional Advisors and Advocates
We have a team of Regional Advisors and Advocates who support physicians in the communities where you live and work. They are your first point of contact to assist you in seeking services and support from us.

Physician Health Program
From mental health support, relationship stress, to career and life transitions, the Physician Health Program provides confidential support, referrals and counselling to physicians, residents, medical students, and family members at any time.
Practice Support Program
The Practice Support Program offers services to primary care physicians practicing longitudinal patient care across the province. Explore opportunities for improvement to optimize your practice, effectively manage your patient panel, and reduce overall administrative burden.
Doctors Technology Office
From implementing virtual care to enhancing your clinic’s security, the Doctors Technology Office addresses the needs of primary care teams related to EMR supports and health technology solutions that align with professional standards.
Billing and audit support
If and when an audit occurs it can be disruptive and overwhelming. One way to significantly reduce the risk of being audited is to have a good understanding of the Fee Guide, the rules, and the supports available to you.
Business Cost Premium
Elevate your practice with the Business Cost Premium on MSP fees for Consultation, Visit, Counselling, and Complete Examination services, designed to ease the burden of rising rent, lease, or ownership costs in community-based offices. To further empower rural physicians, the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues launched the Rural Business Cost Modifier.

BC Medical Journal
As Doctors of BC’s general medical journal and the only provincial medical journal in Canada, BC physicians look to the BC Medical Journal for clinical information, to learn from each other, and to understand developments in the BC health care system.
Joint Collaborative Committees
The Joint Collaborative Committees, a partnership between Doctors of BC and the BC government, support collaboration among healthcare providers to deliver top-tier medical care to British Columbians by strengthening physician skills and coordinating services.
