Members are encouraged to cast their votes in the current bylaw referendum, which seeks to simplify voting timelines and extend term limits for acclaimed Representative Assembly (RA) members.
Special resolution #1: Voting timelines
Following a review and recommendation by Doctors of BC’s Governance Committee, the Board of Directors is proposing bylaw amendments to shorten election and voting timelines and to implement non-substantive administrative changes to modernize the voting process.
Special resolution #2: Extended term limits for acclaimed RA members
Brought forward by two Representative Assembly members, this proposed amendment aims to extend the term limit for acclaimed RA members.

How to vote
On Monday, July 27, eligible members received an email invitation from ElectionBuddy that included a link to the voting site and all the information needed to make an informed decision. Voting closes at 11:59pm on August 18, 2026.
