Thank a Doctor

I've been grateful to receive excellent care from BC doctors at various points in my health journey, and I've watched family and friends with complex care needs be treated with kindness, dignity, and compassion. Physicians give us a reason to hope, especially in moments of stress or uncertainty, and make us stronger both physically and mentally. Thank you all for the incredible work you do!

Big thank you to Dr Ravjot Dhatt at St. Paul's VCH! You were covering for anther physician and treated me with a CT guided nerve block that gave me the ability to sit without pain. You stayed late to make sure that the block was in the right place and checked in with me throughout the whole procedure. Truly improved my quality of life so much.

Sharing my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to ALL BC Doctors and in particular to our family physician, Dr Jinu Mathew for the ongoing proactive care of our family. We appreciate you so much!

Thank you to my family doctor and the specialists I see, who are always in my corner, always ready to answer my questions, make me feel heard, and ensure I feel safe and comfortable when I access the care I need.

Today on National Physician’s Day, I want to say thank you my team of physicians including my family physician, Dr Claire Rawson, as well as my oncologists, Drs Alina Gerrie and Johnathan Isenberg.

Having been dealing with a low-grade B-cell lymphoma / leukaemia over the past two years, my family physician has been an incredible in providing guidance, system navigation and emotional supports. Concurrently, my team at BC Cancer has been expertly helping me through this journey. As a physician myself, I am incredibly grateful for each of them, and want to honour their commitment and care.
