Are you looking to connect with those who have a passion for rural health? Registration is now open for the BC Rural Health Research Exchange (BCRHRx), which takes place on Zoom on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT.

BCRHRx is a free opportunity to listen to fascinating, fast-paced rural health presentations, ask questions, and connect with new people. This year’s keynote features Dr Terri Aldred and Erika Pritchard from the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc), presenting new research from RCCbc’s Rural Site Visits Program recently published in the Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine..

The study, “We’re racially profiled as drunk Indians: experiences of Indigenous rural British Columbians accessing health care," explores anti-Indigenous racism in health care and highlights Indigenous-led solutions for culturally safer care. Read the study.

RCCbc is funded by the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues, one of four committees that are a partnership between Doctors of BC and the BC Government. The BC Rural Health Research Exchange runs annually, with presentation videos posted online after the event.
