Members are invited to participate in an informational webinar about the Ministry’s plans to enable province-wide digital referrals and orders. This is part of the government's broader physician-informed efforts to support system-wide interoperability of EMRs, clinical systems, and other digital health technologies (building a “connected health system”) that included a request for proposal process in which physicians played a key role.
During the 1-hour webinar, hosted by Doctors of BC, participants will:
- Hear updates on the provincial digital referrals and orders project, and the Ministry’s broader work to build a “connected health system”
- Learn how doctors have been involved
- Ask questions
- Explore potential opportunities going forward for you to engage in the design and implementation of this work

- Wednesday, July 19 from 7:00AM – 8:00AM (Family physicians only)
- Wednesday, July 26 from 7:00PM – 8:00PM (Family and specialist physicians)
- Thursday, July 27 from 12:00PM – 1:00PM (Specialists only)
