Doctors of BC believes effective public protection requires health profession regulation that is fair, proportionate, and informed by meaningful engagement with health professionals.

Doctors of BC calls on the provincial government to review the Health Professions and Occupations Act to ensure the legislation is achieving its intended public protection objectives, remains responsive to the realities of health care delivery, and addresses unintended consequences as they emerge.
