Log in hereThe Section of Plastic Surgery (The Section) is an unregistered not for profit society that represents a subpopulation of the DoBC membership that includes individuals who are both board certified in Plastic Surgery and also paying members of the society. The purposes of th Section are:
- to advance the scientific, educational, professional and economic welfare of all members of the Section;
- to promote the highest quality of health care delivery by its members;
- to promote the integrity and honour of the medical profession and our specialty;
- to act on behalf of members of the Section in negotiations regarding services rendered, the conditions under which services are rendered and the remuneration related to those services rendered.
- to collect dues, to receive donations, and to expend moneys to defray expenses and to promote and further any of the purposes of the Section;
- to recognize outstanding contribution and service within the Section or the profession;
- to provide financial, advisory or other assistance to individuals or groups having a purpose or purposes similar or beneficial to those of the Section;
- to collect and preserve archival material and artefacts of the Section, affiliated sections, societies, members and former members of the Section;
- to perform such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the above purposes and to the welfare of the public and of the medical and allied professions whether within or outside BC.
