More than 50% of doctors in BC are family doctors—your voice matters and BC Family Doctors represents that voice. With physicians around the province, we have created change in family physician compensation and primary care reform. There is more work to be done, and we can’t do it without you.

What we do

Motivated by a future where all family doctors thrive, we pledge to:

  • Advocate for the needs of all family doctors, regardless of how you choose to be compensated.
  • Raise awareness of the challenges you face so that the government and the public are aware of the sacrifices and costs you incur.
  • Listen, network and advocate for a strong future for family medicine.
  • Address systemic factors impacting physician workload and health.
  • Increase family doctor engagement and representation.
  • Build and increase our capacity to serve you.

How to join

You can join this group in two ways:

  1. During membership renewal—select this when renewing your annual Doctors of BC membership.
  2. Ad hoc (outside renewal process)—already renewed? You can join at any time via the member area.
