WorkSafeBC webinar for doctors: How to optimize safety in your practice

July 25, 2022

To help support doctors identify and meet WorkSafeBC’s regulatory requirements for their practice, Business Pathways and WorkSafeBC partnered to host a webinar Optimizing your practice: WorkSafeBC and safety at your workplace.

In the webinar, medical advisors and prevention managers from WorkSafeBC discuss how proactive development of preventive protocols can save time and enhance safety. The hosts guide doctors through registration requirements and obtaining personal coverage and cover income loss and other expenses in the event of a workplace injury or illness. Four case studies are reviewed to help doctors understand office-based strategies to enhance the safety of their practice, staff, patients, and themselves.

A recording of the webinar is now available, in addition to important resources which outline key takeaways from the webinar.

Doctors are encouraged to visit WorkSafeBC’s Employer Service Centre and review WorkSafeBC’s Physician Guide to WorkSafeBC Registration and Insurance Coverage to confirm registration criteria and eligibility. Doctors can also reach out directly to WorkSafeBC for any registration requirements, prevention procedures, and claims inquiries via email at

The onboarding section of Business Pathways' HR toolkit includes additional information on setting up the required policies for your workplace.
