The Joint Collaborative Committees (JCCs), in partnership with Len Pierre Consulting, are looking forward to hosting a Community-Based Experiential Learning Session.

During these sessions, participants will experience:

  • Cultural safety teachings through an immersive, “circle and the box” learning
  • Teachings and protocols from local/regional Indigenous communities
  • A shared meal, language, history, and stories
  • A deeper understanding of residential school trauma
  • Connections with local health staff and providers
  • The opportunity for on-going learning and relationship-building between participants and Indigenous communities

We are grateful to hold this session on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the Lheidli T'enneh.

We welcome registration from interprofessional team members (ITMs) that make up team-based care (on/off reserve clinic staff, NPs, RNs, midwives, HA partners, Divisions staff, MSA staff, etc.).

Please note that space is limited to 50 participants. Sessional time and mileage exceeding 50km one-way will be covered by the JCCs. We provide sessional time and mileage to physicians, a meal, and a stipend to ITMs who are not salaried.
