Seeking your input: Negotiations survey on the next Physician Master Agreement

October 20, 2020

In June 2021, Doctors of BC will begin negotiations with government on a new Physician Master Agreement (PMA). To better prepare, we are reaching out to our members to find out what’s important to you when it comes to negotiating on your behalf.  The PMA affects every doctor in BC – it impacts your compensation and benefits and provides you with important contractual protections. To ensure we can best represent and advocate for you during negotiations, we need to understand your priorities.

As a first step, on Tuesday, October 20th members will have received an email inviting your participation in a negotiations survey. This survey, being conducted on our behalf by TWI Surveys, seeks your input into how the 2022 PMA funding should be directed, as well as your views on other key issues. It is a very important tool in helping us better understand your priorities and better advocate for you and the profession during negotiations.

The email invitation is from Doctors of BC and contains a link to the survey which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. The deadline to provide your input is Tuesday, November 10th. If you did not receive your invitation or you have any questions about the survey, please contact . We encourage all members to take the time to complete the survey – your input is invaluable.

Doctors of BC is committed to keeping members updated as we move through each stage of negotiations on the new Physician Master Agreement. More information can be found here (login required).
