LFP Payment Model – By the numbers

Almost 10 months after launching the LFP Payment Model, we have seen a seismic shift in how longitudinal family physicians are paid in BC. Many of you have asked to hear more about the adoption of the LFP Payment Model.

For the week ending November 25:

• 3874 physicians have enrolled in total (70.6% of physicians who were identified as longitudinal physicians in 2021/22).

• 900 of the total number provide locum services, either exclusively or in addition to their LFP practice.

• 441 are new to practice or newly billing MSP.

• 208 are newly providing, or have returned to, longitudinal care.
