We will cover essential aspects of the physician workflow in Oscar, including visit notes, medication management, measures, templates, billing procedures, and more.

This session is designed for physicians and other health care providers looking to streamline their workflow and maximize efficiency using Oscar as well as clinic staff that are looking to learn more about their EMR. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, there's something for everyone in this session.

EMR Skill Building Sessions are designed to help family physicians, medical office assistants (MOAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and other practice team members expand their expertise in using their Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The hour-long virtual sessions offer valuable skills and knowledge specific to the EMR you use. They will provide helpful time-saving tips and tricks, and the opportunity to ask questions and share knowledge with your colleagues.

Led by a team of physician and MOA peer mentors and PSP (Practice Support Program) coaches, each session will provide a live demonstration of EMR workflows that focus on gaps in EMR use, and ‘hot topics’ specific to emerging initiatives for primary care providers. Sample topics may include:

  • Workflows for keeping your panel in the Provincial Attachment System (PAS) up to date
  • Screening and prevention strategies
  • Scheduling and advanced access
  • Digital referrals and orders
  • Workflows specific to payment models (e.g., LFP, NTP contracts)

The first sessions will focus on MedAccess and OSCAR EMRs with plans to expand to other EMRs soon.
