WorkSafeBC Agreements

Doctors of BC negotiates two formal agreements with WorkSafeBC: 

Physician and Surgeons’ WorkSafeBC Services Agreement: Describes the relationship between fee-for-service (FFS) and sessionally paid physicians and WorkSafeBC, including payment rates for physicians treating injured workers.

• The 2022-2025 Physician Services Agreement was ratified in February 2024, signed in March 2024 and has a term from its effective date of April 1, 2022, up to and including March 31, 2025.

Salaried Physicians’ Agreement: Describes the terms and conditions of employment for Medical Advisors employed by WorkSafeBC.

• The 2022-2025 Salary Agreement was ratified in October 2023, signed in November 2023, and has a term from its effective date of April 1, 2022, to and including March 31, 2025.

Note: Both agreements shall continue in effect after the expiration date until it is replaced by a new or amended agreement.
