Community doctors: How to order your PPE

November 26, 2020

Family doctors and specialists with community offices will soon be receiving a letter in the mail from the provincial government with information on how to order PPE and critical supplies through the new Health PPE Portal. The portal, which becomes operational at the end of November, will allow community doctors to order PPE at no cost during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Things to do

  • Keep an eye out for the letter – It will be sent to community doctors around the province over the next two weeks (by December 15th). The first letters will be sent November 27th to doctors in the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal regions. Letters to doctors in Island, Interior and Northern Health regions will follow.
  • Follow the directions – The letter will include a unique customer number and information on how to access the portal to place your orders.
  • Didn’t get a letter? – If you believe you qualify for PPE but did not receive a letter by December 15th, email for assistance.

A memo from the Minister of Health provides more information on the registration process and also outlines what kinds of supplies are available and maximum size of orders.
