Guide to help protect physician offices from violence

August 18, 2020

A number of BC physicians have been asking for information that Doctors of BC can share to help prevent and/or respond to violence in their clinics.

Doctors of BC has prepared A Violence Prevention Guide for Community Practices that includes an office safety checklist as well as tools and resources to deal with a potential violent occurrence.

The full guide highlights key topics, relevant services, and educational materials that will enable physicians to develop a plan for their community practice. It’s recommended that physicians share this guide with staff, print it out and keep it in an easily accessible place within the office.
