Health Information Management and Technology (IM/IT)

Doctors of BC believes any Health Information Management & Technology (Health IM/IT) system introduced in BC must: 

• Support quality care and enable clinical excellence.
• Support the one patient, one record principle. 
• Ensure the physician voice is considered early and often on all IM/IT health care projects.
• Support and enhance the patient role in health care. 
• Ensure user input in Health IM/IT systems' design and governance. 
• Incorporate continuous improvement and investment.
