Registration Deadline: Free online equity, diversity, and inclusion workshop

BC doctors are invited to take part in a free online workshop on the topic “Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: Elusive Dream or Achievable Reality.” Sponsored by the Specialist Services Committee on behalf of the Joint Collaborative Committees and led by doctors, this workshop will focus on better understanding:
- the current state of equity, diversity, and inclusion in medicine
- existing barriers to equity, diversity, and inclusion in medicine from various perspectives (Indigenous health, gender equity, underrepresentation of racialized groups, LGBTQ+, and transgender health)
- the importance of representation in medicine
- unconscious biases and ways to create a safe space in the profession
- how to build a network of colleagues for ongoing collaboration and support
Event date/time: Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 9:30am-12:00pm
Registration deadline: June 24, 2022
