2020 membership renewal

Doctors of BC renewal notices have now been sent to all members in the province. You will note that new this year, members can choose whether to also be a member of the CMA. The choice is yours. The option to “remove” your CMA membership is clearly indicated on both the online and paper version of the member renewal form. For members wishing to remain a CMA member, Doctors of BC will continue to collect CMA dues.

Your Doctors of BC membership includes a wide range of benefits that more than 15,000 BC physicians take advantage of every year. These include: negotiations, audit advice, BC Medical Journal, physician advocacy, parental leave, matching CPRSP, a wide range of insurance benefits, and a host of others. 

Doctors of BC and CMA signed a Memorandum of Understanding earlier this year that outlined our collaboration to develop joint initiatives that will benefit the profession and help build a stronger health care system for patients in our province. We’ll let you know more about these as they progress.

We continue to encourage online registration and are offering the chance to win free dues or an iPad. More information can be found in the President’s Letter (member login), which was sent December 9.
