BC Orthopaedic Surgeons launch campaign to reduce patient wait times

June 15, 2017

The BC Orthopaedic Association is spearheading a campaign to advocate for timely access to orthopaedic care for all Canadians. The group is asking provincial and national governments to help surgeons provide immediate care for all urgent orthopaedic problems and appropriate care within 90 days for all other non-emergency problems.

The surgeons have created a library of videos detailing their experiences in the health care system. The videos show what excessive wait times for consultations and surgeries have meant to the wellbeing of their patients.
