Roundtables on Physician-assisted death

April 19, 2016

Physician-assisted death has been much in the news, with legislation now introduced by the federal government.

It is a good time to consider attending one of the physician roundtables sponsored by Doctors of BC and the CMA to be held in our province in May. Event locations include: Nanaimo, Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, Mission, Kelowna and Prince George.

These sessions will allow physicians to:

  • discuss with peers how this new landscape will impact your practice
  • voice your opinion and learn how the new law will affect you
  • learn more about the CMA’s principles-based recommendations for an approach to assisted dying

CMA Director of Ethics, Dr Cecile Bensimon, will lead the discussion and answer your questions.

There is no cost to attend. Registration closes May 2nd, but space is limited so register early.
