PracticeinBC.ca recruitment portal adds new resources

November 22, 2017

The GPSC Recruitment and Retention Steering Committee’s web portal, PracticeinBC.ca, has added several new tools and resources. PracticeinBC.ca is a one-stop information source with two parts: one for people interested in becoming a BC family doctor and the other for divisions of family practice and local doctors looking for tools and templates to support recruitment to their communities.

PracticeinBC.ca Webpage

Since launching last year, the one-of-a-kind site has become a popular recruitment resource. New additions to PracticeinBc.ca include:

  • A recent webinar about Vancouver Island divisions’ collaborative recruitment strategy.
  • Personal checklists to enable Canadian and international medical grads, as well as Canadians studying abroad, to keep track of each stage of their journey to practice in BC.
  • CMA’s New to Practice Guide for 2017.
  • Recruitment videos from Burnaby, North Shore and Vancouver Island divisions.
  • Links to the College of Physicians and Surgeons’ registration and licensing changes.
  • Access to more locum opportunities with the addition of Locumunity to the jobs section.

These can be found under What’s New on PracticeinBC.ca.
