Ideas shared at Showcase on delivering quality patient care

April 21, 2016

Early this year, about 400 health professionals –  including over 150 physicians – came together for the first-ever Joint Collaborative/Clinical Committee (JCCs) Showcase to exchange ideas to improve the health care system and deliver quality patient care.

Participants shared successes and lessons learned from the range of collaborative work being done in partnership with Doctors of BC, the provincial government, health authorities, and local communities.

Attendees were encouraged to share the information from the sessions to expand the work into local communities, with the goal of quality improvement.

Dr Dan Horvat, a family doctor who practices in Prince George, noted: “Things like the Showcase give a lot of examples and lets us know what works, what doesn’t work and what we need to do to make health care better.”
