Doctors of BC committees: Get involved and make a difference

January 14, 2021

Are you interested in working with your colleagues across the profession to build a stronger, innovative healthcare system? Do you have a passion for promoting community health initiatives among British Columbians, or would you like to discuss your thoughts on the economics of healthcare in the province? Consider sharing your insights by applying for one of our open Committee positions.

As members of Doctors of BC, your expertise and feedback can build a better health system through our committees. By sharing your creativity, experience, and insights with peers, you can collectively bring about positive changes that improve the lives of doctors and patients alike.

For Dr Jiwei Li, serving on the Shared Care Committee means creating vital links between family doctors and specialists, improving healthcare equity along the way. “I am part of a group that is making change at both the patient level and in the bigger health care system. ”Working together, doctors can discover creative solutions at ground level that contribute to higher-quality patient care and physician well-being."

A diversity of perspectives is the driving force behind our committees, and your voice could be the one that sparks an idea that benefits your local community and beyond. Your unique skill-set, medical knowledge, and life experience can and does make a real difference.

Openings are available in a range of committees, including:
