Doctors of BC among top 50 workplaces in Canada

Doctors of BC was named one of the top 50 workplaces in the country at an event hosted by Great Place to Work in Toronto on April 25, 2018.

CEO Allan Seckel congratulated team members,  stating that the award belongs to everyone who has helped build a positive workplace culture where we strive to “make a difference, so our members can make theirs.”    

Doctors of BC came in at number 21, quite an achievement as it is the first year the organization has landed in the the Top 50. Over the past six years, Doctors of BC employees have participated in the Great Place to Work surveys, which help guide our development into a ‘high-trust’ culture. Independent research shows a strong connection between high-trust workplace cultures and high employee performance.  This is part of our commitment to provide excellence in service and value to physician members.  

A strong high-trust workplace culture is critically important in building successful organizations. It is creates engaged employees, which is vital for productivity, recruitment and retention of talent, and to sustain loyalty.  It also enables two key elements for success in our world today - innovation (willingness to take risks and fail) and creating a foundation that adapts to continuous and ever-present changes.
