Stepping into a leadership role at Doctors of BC is an opportunity to increase the influence of the physician voice and collaborate to find solutions for issues impacting BC physicians.
It also ensures a strong, diverse representation within our governance bodies, which is essential so we can effectively represent and advocate for our members.

- Call for Nominations opens: Monday, September 22, 2025
- Call for Nominations closes: Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
- Campaign materials due: Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 12 p.m. (noon)
- Electronic voting opens: Monday, October 27, 2025
- President-Elect Forum: Tuesday, November 4, 2025
- Electronic voting ends: Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
- Election results announced: Friday, November 28, 2025

Campaign and voting
Campaigns
- All candidates must conduct their campaigns in accordance with the Doctors of BC Election Policy to ensure they are conducted fairly and respectfully.
- Candidates can submit a campaign statement (a maximum two-page PDF) that briefly outlines their philosophy on issues faced by Doctors of BC and demonstrates how their relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities align with the core duties and competencies of the position they are seeking.
- Campaign statements must be submitted to voting@doctorsofbc.ca by 12 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, and will be posted on the Doctors of BC website and the voting website once voting opens.
Voting
- Electronic voting begins on Monday, October 27, 2025, and eligible members will receive an email from ElectionBuddy that contains a link to the voting site and all necessary login information. Members are encouraged to submit their votes before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
- If you do not receive the email invitation, or cannot find it, or have technical difficulties with the voting site, please contact ElectionBuddy Support directly at doctorsofbc@electionbuddy.com.
- For questions pertaining to eligibility, please email Doctors of BC at voting@doctorsofbc.ca.
Results
Election results will be announced on Friday, November 28, 2025.
