Are you a Doctors of BC member in good standing who wants to get involved in the association at a meaningful level?
Doctors of BC has nearly 40 committees that focus on areas such as health, negotiations, economics, and public affairs. These committees are comprised of BC physicians who volunteer their time and association staff.
Opportunities to join a committee come up several times a year. A call for nominations is sent to members via email, as well as posted on our website, outlining which committees are seeking members and submission deadlines.
All committee vacancies can also be found on our Committee Openings and Appointments page and can be viewed at any time, along with committee-specific needs, required skillsets, and terms of reference.
Apply for a committee vacancy
Interested in applying for a vacant committee position?
Complete the online form located at the bottom of the webpage for the committee you wish to apply to. Note that the online form link will only appear on pages with open calls and only online applications will be accepted.
Once the call closes, all applications are sent to the Nominating Committee for consideration. The Nominating Committee will forward their recommendations to the Board of Directors for final decision on committee appointments, after which all applicants will receive notice of the Board’s decision.
